I boycott lots of things. Not for any logical reason, just because I find the commercials advertising these products to be so incredibly annoying that I am compelled by forces beyond my control to make every effort possible not to purchase these things.
Consider this anti-advertising.
Please, join me, and let me know if there are any other businesses that should appear on this list.
1) Easterns Motors
This is possibly the most annoying theme song ever.
2) Jerry’s Subs and Pizza
Celebrity voices are impersonated and incredibly grating in their raido commercials.
3) Burger King
Their man commercials make it obvious they don’t want my business so I don’t give it to them.
4) The Gap
The Audrey Hepburn commercial is the worst! I know, some of my friends love it, but I don’t.
5) Dominos
Oh, Fudgems! There are much better reasons for me to boycott Dominos but this is the one I’ve chosen. You have to agree that those brownies are extremely unappealing.
6) The Tyra Banks Show
It’s worse than a commercial, it’s an entire show. And if you live in my area it’s on 24 hours a day.
7) Dodge Nitro
I first saw this yesterday and I saw it at least four times in the span of three hours. It’s annoying man advertising and Russell tells me it’s geographically incorrect.
8 ) Yoplait Yogurt
It would be nearly impossible for these girls to be more annoying. It’s yogurt – it’s not that good.
9) The Today Show
It’s just not worth the time.
10) Wendy’s
This one is tough because I do enjoy a Vanilla Frosty from time to time. It’s such a shame that we’ve gone from “Where’s the beef?” to these stupid red wigs.
On Deck (or commercials or shows well on their way to joining the list):
Nissan Sentra commercials
You know, where the guy lives in his car for seven days. It doesn’t annoy me that much…yet, but I’ve had several requests to add it to the list. Soon. Check the link on this one. It looks like other people hate it too, and aquaman is also personally boycotting. I like to see things like this catch on.
McDonald’s
By adding McDonald’s to the list too, I run the risk of being forced to eat at Subway for all my fast food needs. I list them as “on deck” because, while the Cha Cha Slide commercial is annoying, I have only seen it once. If I see it again, McDonald’s is going to have to go.

i would also like to comment on those domino’s commercials:
benjamin salisbury (aka, the middle child from the nanny) is now making his television career as a costar to a giant square of fudge which, beware dear benjamin, will lead to a lot of fudgepacker jokes.

I would have to agree with all of your boycotts. Personally, I hate the Today Show and this morning I did pay attention to the music and you don’t need to get your hearing checked. It was way too loud. I think all the people on that show are dumb and stupid and segments are all so short that they don’t make any sense. Today they were doing a piece on the business of infidelity (which is applaing in itself) and they had the PI guy on the show and asked him two questions. What’s the point?

i think senate insurance commercials are going to soon be competing with eastern motors for annoying points. i hope they don’t hire a biz markee-like spokesman.

i hate dunkin’ donuts stupid new commercial. “my mouth can’t form these words… is it french? or is it italian? perhaps fritalian.” it is these idiotic words that i can’t get out of my head because they run this commercial at least 60% of the time during each commercial break on network TV.

Dweebcentric, I was just thinking about that damn Dunkin’ Donuts commercial. It drives me insane. PLUS, it’s an advertisement for English speaking coffee orders. But the drink they mention is a LATTE. Since when is that word English? “Could I get a medium LAT please?

Can we boycott Bratz dolls? Is this really the doll we want young girls to emulate?
